What is Sp-Berner’s double-layer technology like?
Our double-layer technology is a system that represents a leap forward in the quality of stick manufacturing. Unlike traditional sticks, Sp-Berner sticks are created with a multi-layer structure. The core of these sticks is formed by a high-quality steel plate, providing structural strength and durability.
Although steel is a very resistant material, it can be susceptible to corrosion. To prevent this, at Sp-Berner we apply a high-performance double-layer plastic coating, firmly bonded to the steel using a specialized high-strength adhesive.
This multi-layer system (steel–adhesive–plastic–plastic) creates a protective barrier that isolates the metal from contact with moisture and air, the main factors in oxidation. These covers provide a durable surface that is pleasant to the touch, as well as encapsulating the steel and sealing it completely, preventing the entry of corrosive agents.
In addition, the process of gluing the cover provides extra protection: in the event of surface damage, any corrosion is localized at that point and does not spread to the rest of the sticks, as is the case with conventional sticks.
