The ECO-FALLES 4.0 project, led by the Polytechnic University of Valencia and in which we have been collaborating since 2023, has been successfully completed.
Since 2023, we have been part of the ECO-FALLES 4.0 project, led by the Polytechnic University of Valencia, in collaboration with Fallas Vicente Martínez – FVM.
This project takes a technological approach and aims to drive innovation through the application of Industry 4.0 in the creation of the artistic monuments erected in the Valencian Community during the festivities of San José (Fallas) and San Juan (Hogueras). Its aim is to ensure financial sustainability for the Fallas artists, reduce the environmental impact of the production process and improve the structural safety of the pieces.
The project has involved a total investment of €428,842.09, funded by the Valencian Institute of Competitiveness and Innovation (IVACE+i) under the ERDF CV Programme 2021–2027, and Sp-Berner’s collaboration joins the commitment of the companies and institutions that have taken part in the project to make our festivals and traditions more sustainable, thanks to this ambitious project, which was successfully completed in 2025.
Following a series of tests carried out using various plastic materials, we have successfully achieved our goal of 3D printing several objects made from r-PET flakes sourced from post-consumer household waste and recycled at our Torrente Recycling Plant (Sp-Berner Recycling).
We are very pleased with the results of this project, which will help make our FESTIVALS increasingly sustainable and environmentally friendly.
